For travelers exploring Argentina during the Southern Hemisphere winter, the province of Santa Fe offers an exceptional opportunity. Located approximately 300 kilometers (186 miles) northwest of Buenos Aires, the cities of Rosario and Santa Fe will host over 150 free activities between July 6 and 17, 2026.
The program "Vacaciones Copadas" (which translates to "Cool Vacations") encompasses theatrical performances, open museums, tourist circuits, sports activities, and food festivals designed for children, teenagers, and families.
Rosario is Argentina's third-largest city and birthplace of Lionel Messi and Ángel Di María, two of the world's most celebrated footballers. Santa Fe is the provincial capital, located about 165 kilometers north of Rosario.
An interactive children's museum housed in a restored railway station. Open 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
Outdoor educational activities at a working farm setting. Open 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Located in Parque de la Independencia (Independence Park), Rosario's largest green space. Open 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Showcases local biodiversity from one of South America's longest rivers. Open 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Exhibits provincial sports history. Open Wednesday-Friday 9:00 AM-1:00 PM and 2:00 PM-6:00 PM; weekends 2:00 PM-6:00 PM.
Saturday 4, Sunday 5, and Wednesday through Sundays 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. "El jardín que nos habita" (The Garden That Inhabits Us): a cultural nursery blending nature and creativity. Includes play patios and "El refugio del color" (Color Refuge) for rainy days.
A historic cinema offering 12 free screenings of children's classic films. Saturday 4, Sunday 5, and Wednesday through Sundays at 4:00 PM.
Free tickets available 2 hours before each show. Features "Estación animada" (Animated Station) with stop-motion techniques, "Escribir con luz" (Writing with Light), and "La fábrica de sonidos" (Sound Factory) for experimenting in a professional recording studio.

Four theater companies will tour more than 50 towns across 15 departments of Santa Fe province, bringing culture throughout the region.

The calendar includes food festivals and events such as El Invernal and La Diseña. The province has already received 10 event applications following the announcement of tax exemptions for organizers.
