30/06/2026 21:09 - Economia

2.15% Increase Applied Starting July 2026

The National Social Security Administration (ANSES)—Argentina's equivalent to the U.S. Social Security Administration—has confirmed a 2.15% increase for pensions, retirement benefits, and family allowances corresponding to July 2026. This adjustment is automatically applied based on the Consumer Price Index (IPC) for May 2026, following the mobility formula established by Decree 274/2024.

The monthly update mechanism allows benefits to closely follow price evolution, avoiding the misalignments that occurred under the previous quarterly mobility system.

Key Benefit Amounts for July 2026

Benefit Type Base Amount With $70,000 Bonus
Minimum Pension $411,989.33 $481,989.33
Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM) $329,591.46 $399,591.46
Non-Contributory Pension (Disability/Old Age) $288,392.53 $358,392.53
Mother of 7 Children Pension $411,989.33 $481,990.89

Family Allowances and AUH

Family allowances—monthly payments made by the Argentine government to workers for each child under 18—are also updated using the same index. The values for July 2026 are:

  • Universal Child Allowance (AUH): $148,049 (A social protection program for unemployed or informal workers with children)
  • AUH for Child with Disability: $482,062
  • Family Allowance per Child (Range 1): $74,033

These amounts are automatically applied and paid according to the regular payment calendar.

About the $70,000 Bonus

The extraordinary $70,000 bonus is applied to minimum pensions and retirement benefits, PUAM, and non-contributory pensions. Beneficiaries whose benefits exceed the minimum receive a proportional supplement to reach the total amount of $481,989.33.

This benefit has been maintained for several months, though its continuation depends on official decisions each payment period.

Payment Schedule

ANSES has not yet confirmed the payment schedule for July 2026. Typically, minimum benefits are paid starting in the first week of the month, followed by other benefits.

The calendar is organized according to the last digit of each beneficiary's national ID (DNI).

Understanding Argentina's Pension System

ANSES (Administración Nacional de la Seguridad Social) is Argentina's main social security agency, responsible for paying pensions, retirement benefits, unemployment insurance, and family allowances. It operates under the Ministry of Human Capital.

The current mobility system, established by Decree 274/2024, updates benefits monthly based on the Consumer Price Index (IPC) from two months prior. This replaced the previous quarterly adjustment system to better protect purchasing power against inflation.

Important: All amounts are expressed in Argentine Pesos (ARS). Argentina has experienced significant currency depreciation and inflation in recent years, which is why the government supplements base pensions with extraordinary bonuses.
