A shocking security incident unfolded on the 9 de Julio Sur Highway, one of the main arteries of Buenos Aires, Argentina's capital city. A motorcyclist was chased by three armed criminals who attempted to rob him, firing shots into the air to intimidate their target.
During the high-speed chase, chaos erupted. According to local media reports, one of the criminals lost his balance and fell onto the highway asphalt, where he was struck by a passing vehicle. The impact proved fatal.
This type of crime, known locally as "entraderas" (armed robberies on moving vehicles), has become a frequent threat on highways and main avenues in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires, creating growing concern among drivers and residents.
The 9 de Julio Sur Highway is a vital expressway connecting downtown Buenos Aires with the southern suburbs. Named after Argentina's Independence Day (July 9, 1816), it serves thousands of commuters daily and is one of the most transited routes in the capital.
