On Thursday, June 25, 2026, the Argentine Government published Decree 532/2026 in the Official Gazette, confirming an extraordinary bonus of $70,000 ARS for retirees and pensioners. This benefit, administered by ANSES (Administración Nacional de la Seguridad Social - Argentina's National Social Security Administration), will be paid alongside July 2026 pensions.
For context, ANSES is Argentina's primary social security agency, responsible for managing retirement pensions, family allowances, and unemployment benefits. The agency serves millions of Argentines and operates under the Ministry of Human Capital.
The bonus is classified as non-remunerative, meaning it's not subject to social security deductions or contributions, and won't affect future pension calculations.
The benefit is available to:
The full bonus applies to those whose total monthly pension income equals or falls below the minimum retirement benefit (haber mínimo).
For pensioners earning slightly above the minimum threshold, the bonus amount will be adjusted proportionally to ensure total income doesn't exceed the minimum benefit plus the $70,000 bonus.
Note: The "haber mínimo" is the lowest standard pension amount established by Argentine law, roughly equivalent to a minimum wage for retirees.
Pensions will receive a 2.1% increase in July due to inflation-indexed adjustments. Since July 2024, under Decree N° 274/24, Argentine pensions are updated monthly based on the Consumer Price Index (IPC) published by INDEC (Argentina's National Institute of Statistics and Census), replacing the previous semi-annual adjustment system.
| Benefit Type | Base Amount (ARS) | With $70,000 Bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum Retirement/Pension | $411,989.33 | $481,989.33 |
| Non-Contributory Pension (PNC) | $288,392.52 | $358,392.52 |
| PUAM (Universal Pension for Older Adults) | $329,591.46 | $399,591.46 |
| Mother of 7+ Children Pension | $411,989.33 | $481,989.33 |
Important: The PUAM equals 80% of the minimum retirement benefit. Universal Child Allowances (AUH) and AUH with Disability do not qualify for this additional bonus.
Payments are distributed according to the last digit of your National ID (DNI). This staggered system helps manage crowds at banks and ATMs across Argentina.

The decree follows the release of May 2026 inflation data, which registered at 2.1%—the lowest level since September 2025 and below market expectations. Year-to-date inflation reached 14.7% for the first five months of 2026, with year-over-year inflation at 33.2%.
The decree was signed by President Javier Milei, Cabinet Chief Manuel Adorni, and Minister of Human Capital Sandra Pettovello, emphasizing the government's commitment to "preserve the purchasing power of pension benefits for older adults."
This bonus amount has remained unchanged since March 2024, reflecting Argentina's ongoing efforts to stabilize its economy and protect vulnerable populations.
