According to Diego Iglesias, Nissan executive during the presentation: "We are excited to witness the third launch that is part of Nissan's complete portfolio renewal in Panama. The arrival of Kait strengthens and renews our offering in the SUV segment with an innovative, modern, and technological proposal."
SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) is a type of vehicle that combines passenger car characteristics with elements from off-road vehicles. It offers greater height, better visibility, and more interior space than a traditional car. The compact SUV segment is one of the most competitive and fastest-growing in Latin America.
Panama serves as a strategic hub for automotive launches in Latin America, thanks to its modern infrastructure, free trade zones, and central location. Major automakers frequently choose Panama for regional presentations, serving as a gateway to Central American and Caribbean markets. The compact SUV segment has experienced sustained growth in recent years, driven by consumer preferences for versatile, safe, and fuel-efficient vehicles.
The model replaces the Kicks Play, which had outstanding acceptance in the regional market. The Kicks Play was known for its excellent value proposition, combining Japanese reliability with features tailored to Latin American consumers. The Kait aims to elevate this legacy with enhanced technology and safety features.
