Argentina's FDA (ANMAT) Authorizes Over-the-Counter Sale of 10 Medications
Starting July 29, 2026, Argentines can purchase ten common medications without a prescription. The National Administration of Medicines (ANMAT) aims to simplify access to low-complexity treatments, such as allergy relief and eye drops. While this speeds up the buying process, these drugs will no longer be covered by union-based health insurance or private plans discounts.
