After thirteen years without sharing the screen, Natalia Oreiro (an internationally acclaimed Uruguayan-Argentine actress and singer) and Adrián Suar (a prominent Argentine actor, producer, and media businessman) reunite their talents in the new comedy Yo, Narciso (I, Narcissus). The film had its avant premiere on August 11, 2026 at the Cinemark Hoyts in the Shopping DOT, and is officially hitting theaters across the country this Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The last time this duo led a cast was in 2013 with the highly successful Argentine telenovela Solamente vos (Only You) on the El Trece network. However, both humorously dismissed the idea of working as a real-life couple. 'We get along very well, but as a couple we would last very little,' Oreiro told the media. Suar supported the idea, joking: 'We wouldn't be able to stand each other.'

What is the movie about?

Directed by Suar himself and co-written with Pablo Solarz, the comedy offers a deep yet funny look at modern narcissism. The plot follows Rocío Flores (Oreiro), a university sociology professor who is writing a book on narcissism.

To give her work scientific rigor, Rocío infiltrates the life of Máximo Rey (Suar), a successful and vain plastic surgeon. Adopting the false identity of Miranda, she poses as a patient. The academic plan is thwarted when the surgeon falls madly in love with her, unleashing a web of entanglements and lies.

Outstanding Cast: The film features performances by Julieta Zylberberg, Sofía Morandi, Eleonora Wexler, Mariano Saborido, Andy Chango, and Camila Peralta. It also has the special participation of Moria Casán, an iconic Argentine vedette and TV host, who plays Graciela, the protagonist's mother, delivering a sublime monologue intervened by her famous 'lengua karateka' (a signature exaggerated tongue movement that became a massive pop culture reference in Argentina).

The premiere night was a total display of fashion and celebrities. Natalia Oreiro surprised with a striking orange sequin halter-neck dress, complemented by a long black leather coat and square-heeled boots, accompanied by her husband, musician Ricardo Mollo (leader of the legendary Argentine rock band Divididos).

For his part, Adrián Suar opted for his classic informal signature look with a black t-shirt, matching blazer, and cigarette pants, accompanied by his partner, Rocío Robles, and his 14-year-old daughter, Margarita. Facundo Arana, another massive Argentine TV star who shared success with Oreiro in hit soap operas like Sos mi vida and Muñeca Brava, showed off his rock and boho style with a plaid shirt and leather jacket.
