Villamide Sentenced to 3 Years Suspended Prison for ARA San Juan Sinking
The Federal Oral Court of Santa Cruz has convicted the former Submarine Force Commander by a majority for negligent damage and breach of duty. The other three former Navy high-ranking officers were unanimously acquitted. The grounds for the sentence will be announced on August 21, 2026.
