Berlin Pride Attack Suspect Shot Dead After 24-Hour Manhunt
German police fatally shot Abdul Ballout, the 21-year-old suspect in the deadly attack at Berlin’s Christopher Street Day celebration, ending a nearly 24-hour manhunt. The assault, which left one woman dead and 29 injured, has been classified as an Islamist terrorist act. Ballout, a German-Lebanese citizen with prior links to the Islamic State, was cornered in a Spandau allotment garden on Sunday evening.
