The city of Cuiabá, located in the heart of Brazil, was the scene of a devastating accident this Friday, October 2nd. The victim, identified as Valdemir de Souza, a man who relied on a crutch for mobility, tragically lost his life after being struck during a multi-vehicle collision.

How the Accident Unfolded

According to reports, the tragedy occurred while the victim was attempting to cross the avenue outside of the designated pedestrian crossing. In a gesture of kindness and caution, a nearby motorcyclist slowed down to allow Mr. de Souza to cross safely. However, a car traveling behind the motorcycle failed to brake in time.

The Impact: The vehicle collided violently with the motorcycle and subsequently struck the pedestrian, leaving him critically injured on the pavement.

Legal Proceedings

The driver of the car has been identified as a Brazilian medical student. The young man remained at the scene and was immediately detained by the Military Police to clarify the circumstances surrounding the event.
