In a powerful response to Vladimir Putin's new military doctrine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced an increase in strikes against Russia's energy infrastructure. While Ukraine recovers territory in the Donbas through the 'Vivaldi' offensive, the deployment of domestically produced ballistic missiles puts Moscow directly in the crosshairs.

Tensions between Kyiv and Moscow have reached a new boiling point. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine will intensify its strikes against Russian oil refineries, the financial heart that sustains the Kremlin's war machine.

This decision follows reports that Ukrainian intelligence intercepted documents revealing a direct order from Vladimir Putin to expand attacks on civilian targets, including schools, hospitals, and logistical routes. The Russian objective would be to force the evacuation of the population from Kyiv and other key cities before the harsh winter sets in.

Ukraine's Commitment: Zelenskyy was categorical in ensuring that, while they will strike energy infrastructure, they will not target civilian populations.

Frontline Progress and Strategic Armament

On the ground, the counteroffensive known as "Vivaldi" is yielding positive results, successfully recapturing approximately 140 square kilometers in the Donbas region (the easternmost part of Ukraine, currently the center of the most intense fighting). However, the real game-changer is appearing in the air and underground:

FP-7 Missile

Currently being deployed with a range of 250 kilometers.

FP-9 Missile

Under development, with the capacity to reach Moscow by this autumn.

Air Defense

Economic missiles to combat jet drones are expected by October, optimizing F-16 and MiG operations.

The European Board: Latvia Reaffirms Its Stance

Parallel to the conflict, regional geopolitics are consolidating. In Latvia, the United List party, led by Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, triumphed in the parliamentary elections. This result ensures the country will maintain a strictly pro-European and pro-Ukrainian course, closing the doors to economic ties with Russia.
