The main objective: to coordinate the communication and timeline for sending a package of reforms to Congress, headlined by the modification of the Organic Charter of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA).

According to official sources cited by local media like TN and Radio Mitre, the official announcement could be made as early as next week. There is even an evaluation of having President Javier Milei deliver the news via a national broadcast, a press conference, or a specific economic event, signaling a high political impact, though ruling out the president addressing the Congressional floor as he did with the Budget.

The project seeks to undo modifications introduced in 2012 during the administration of Mercedes Marcó del Pont, which expanded the BCRA's objectives to include goals like employment and social equity. The new Organic Charter would prohibit the Central Bank from assisting the Treasury, toughen sanctions for those authorizing money printing to finance the state, and establish stricter rules for removing the bank's president and board members.

According to Urgente24, the Fundación Capital celebrated this progress and suggested incorporating regulations for virtual assets and digital currencies (such as stablecoins and tokenization), looking at examples from Chile, Uruguay, and Brazil.
