Argentine President Javier Milei published a forceful message on his official X account (formerly Twitter), making it clear that his government will continue advancing along the established path without bowing to pressures from any sector.
In his post on the social network, Milei stated:
"The Government will continue advancing along the traced path regardless of the pressures it receives from 'empresaurios', media, or unions. They still don't understand and don't listen to Milei. He has clarified on several occasions that he follows the course he considers correct without regard for the consequences."
The message, published on February 23, 2026, reinforces the libertarian administration's strategy of maintaining economic adjustments and structural reforms despite criticism from various sectors.
The term "empresaurios" is a neologism created by Milei that combines "empresarios" (businessmen) with "dinosaurios" (dinosaurs). This expression refers to business leaders who, according to the President's vision, represent an old, corporatist, and privileged model that resists change and free market competition.
Milei has used this term on multiple occasions to describe those entrepreneurs who seek state benefits, subsidies, or protectionist measures instead of competing in open markets.
Since taking office in December 2023, Javier Milei's government has implemented a series of profound economic reforms including:
These measures have generated both support and criticism, leading the President to reiterate his commitment to the chosen course.
